During my first year, I was selected to go on a 2 weeks exchange program to Aalborg, Denmark.  The trip was to gain the exposure and learn about the gaming industry in Denmark. On the first week there , I visited a Virtual Reality cafe and arcade  which located in the town's train station. The owner explained to us about the development and maintenance of the VR games  in the cafe.  We also discussed about the appeal and popularity of VR game.  I also did a project with the students from Denmark Tech College. Our theme for the project is to create a game with it core mechanic removed. For example, a racing game with the driving mechanic removed. My group decided to create a platforming game in which the core mechanic of running and platforms removed. In our game, the player has to move between the bottom and upper platforms while the avoiding traps such spikes and rotating saws  in the middle.  Therefore, I learnt a lot form this trip such as the creation of Virtual Reality Games and also put my programming knowledge to the test in which has improved greatly from this trip. Not only that, it also given opportunity to learn about Danish customs and the history of Denmark.
